The series Preparations of the mind – body anatomy consists of eight depictions with titles such as Bladder pain, Dangling bladder, Sieve, Pain brain, Source, Mesh, Nail and Labyrinth. These double-sided drawings depict feelings of pain and associations with related physical processes. The images suggest organs and tissues, with the front side (left on the above images) and the back side (right on the above images) differing from each other and being slightly translucent, creating the illusion of a three-dimensional shape.
