Pain Sticks
These miniatures are my very first representations of a consciously perceived physicality, created with cocktail sticks and various materials such as paper, cardboard, foil, clay, wire, yarn, glass, and other found objects.
The base – the wooden stick – represents the spine. The added shapes are an associative representation of perceived sensations and bodily processes, such as sensitivity, blockage, compression, limitation, rigidity…
